To promote financial literacy, the JMC collaborates with leading financial institutions and regulatory bodies, including some of our financial regulators in Washington, D.C. One of the key resources we use is the Money Smart program, which provides valuable tools for financial education.
JMC’s primary focus is on public schools, where we aim to engage students through live readings featuring prominent personalities. One such figure is Dr. Sheila Bair, former Chairwoman of the FDIC, who authored a series of children's books centered on financial education. These books, written by an influential leader in the financial sector, offer valuable lessons and messages that resonate deeply with young learners.
Given Dr. Bair's legacy as the head of the FDIC, one of the foremost regulators of U.S. banks, her work carries significant weight and authority. We believe that by introducing these books to children, we can foster a strong foundation in financial literacy, beginning with the younger generation and expanding to their families.
JMC’s program also partners with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of each school, ensuring that the broader community is involved in this important educational initiative.
This is the core of JMC’s financial literacy program, and we are excited to continue building on this foundation for future generations.
