Karina is a dynamic financial professional with deep roots in South Los Angeles, where
she was born and raised as the youngest of seven siblings in a family of immigrants
from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Her journey from inner-city public schools to a
leadership role in commercial banking is a testament to her resilience, ambition, and
commitment to excellence.

Karina began her career as a Teller and quickly rose through the ranks, gaining
extensive experience in Branch and Relationship Management as well as International
Trade Services. She currently serves as the Operations Manager at the Santa Fe
Springs Business Financial Center for Citizens Business Bank, where she leads with
integrity and a strong focus on client success.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Redlands,
where she also studied International Business abroad at Cambridge University in the
United Kingdom. Karina later earned her MBA from California State University, San
Bernardino.

Beyond her professional achievements, Karina is passionate about mentoring and
community empowerment. She is an active mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters Inland
Empire and serves as Treasurer and board member of the Jesse Miranda Center,
supporting initiatives that uplift Latino communities.
In her personal time, Karina enjoys ocean views, hiking, yoga, and cherishing moments
with her seven-year-old son, Stephen.
